Though it's far from a Holiday, especially since the increased voting created lines down the street, massive fines and penalties sure send signals to large corporations and offer further incentives/protection. What was our population in 1845? We are a nation of 300 million now. Doesn't having two days to vote make sense since we have so many more voters in the 21st century? This is an important decison. So what if we don't get the results in time for the 10 o'clock news?
